Audience Vote at SummerScreen Film Festival

film_summerscreenFor the eighth year in a row, SummerScreen, Williamsburg’s biggest outdoor film series, is taking over McCarren Park at the corner of Bedford Ave. and N. 12th St. to bring Brooklyn six free films, along with local food, drinks, and live music all summer long.

The 2013 series is kicking off on Wednesday, July 10 with the 1998 hit, Can’t Hardly Wait, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ethan Embry and Charlie Korsmo. So join us at SummerScreen every Wednesday starting July 10 through August 14. Doors to the park open at 6:00pm, bands go on at 6:30pm, and films start at 8:15pm.

Audience Pick

The sixth and final film is up to the audience. To vote, visit the Facebook page and let them know what film you want to screen in front of 5,000 of your neighbors. That means you’ll get to vote for your best-loved movie from a list of old favorites: Mallrats, The Neverending Story, High Fidelity, The Breakfast Club, The Big Lebowski, Heathers and Scream.

The winning film will be announced on August 7th, and will screen on August 14th. For more details on SummerScreen, visit our website at http://summerscreen.org.
