European Day of Languages 2016 in Atlanta

Join the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta and the Alliance Française d’Atlanta as they join forces to celebrate the European Day of Languages 2016!

This year they’ll be celebrating with the theme Language Proficiency & Cultural Competency: Where do they take us?, focusing on how learning a second or third language broadens your world view and impacts your future education and career.

They will be celebrating with: keynote speaker, Jon Valentine, Director of Foreign Languages, Gwinnett County Public Schools, who will discuss how having a knowledge of other cultures and languages can help in your career; a panel discussion and Q&A with guests who will discuss how knowledge of intercultural relations and world languages have helped advance their personal career; and a competition where students will be asked to submit a 4 minute video in the target language focusing on the theme “I’m Fluent. Now what?”
