The World Baseball Classic comes to a close this month after almost six months of qualifying matches, training and playing for baseball players all over the world.
The tournament, held every four years and spread across various continents, hosts countries from all over the world. Many of the players in the championship play in the US Major Leagues during the regular season, and many scouts use this as an opportunity to case the newest talent and determine where the next baseball boom will take place.
The answer has increasingly become Europe, and German players are frontrunners.
