German Soccer Teams at the first Matchday of the UEFA Champions League

Last week the European Soccer Champions League Season 2015 started. Four German teams made it to this year’s group stage.
Beginning_Arsenal_SevillaOn Tuesday, Borussia M’gladbach failed to even up their incredibly bad start in the Bundesliga (4 losses in a row!) versus Sevilla. After a boring first half they played way to aggressive and Sevilla got awarded 3 penalties in a row. They lost 3:0.
All other German teams did better. VFL Wolfsburg easily won 1:0 against CSKA Moskau with their latest new player Julian Draxler dribbling and scoring his new team to 3 points.
Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich had their matches the following day – Leverkusen versus BATE Borisov and Munich versus Olympiacos (Athens). Both teams showed spectacular soccer by winning 4:1 (LEV) and 3:0 (MUC).
Next week the Champions League continues, this time starting with Bayern Munich versus Dynamo Zagreb and Bayer Leverkusen versus FC Barcelona on Tuesday. On Wednesday the two remaining German teams face the two teams from Manchester: Borussia M’gladbach welcomes Manchester City in their stadium and VFL Wolfsburg travels to England to play versus Manchester United. All four games promise tension and thrill.

Final results so far:

Sevilla 3 – 0 Borussia M’gladbach
VFL Wolfsburg 1 – 0 CSKA Moskau
Bayer Leverkusen 4 – 1 BATE Borisov
Olympiacos 0 – 3 Bayern Munich
