Join the Peoria German American Society at their annual Maifest celebration! A variety of vocal, instrumental and dance entertainment will be presented including dancing around the Maibaum (May Pole). There will be children’s activities, a petting zoo and flowers/plants for sale by EPIC, an organization that trains handicapped persons.
The Peoria Volkstaenzer and the Metamora High School Schuplattlers will perform folk dances throughout the midafternoon, and the Damenchor and Harmonie choirs from the German American Society will present German Frueling (Spring) songs at several different times.
