Who would’ve thought? Germany is the most beloved country in the world, according to a survey done by the BBC. More than 26,000 people in 25 countries were asked to rate 16 countries as well as the European Union on whether they had a positive or negative impact. Germany topped the list with 59 percent. Canada and Great Britain won second and third place. Iran was given last place. Germany received many votes from survey takers in Spain and France, but not Greece. There, Germany (and Angela Merkel’s rigid EU spending plan in particular) is disliked.
