John Malkovich loves Vienna. He played serial killer Jack Unterweger last year and returns this January as Casanova to Vienna’s Ronacher Theater. The Giacomo Variations is described as a mix between a play and an opera and will feature music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
His childhood dream was to be a “Wiener Sängerknabe”, at 56 this ship has sailed, but he said “well at least I am in Vienna! It’s the closest I’ll ever get to realising my boyhood dream of being in the Vienna Boys’ Choir.”
