PA: Movie Night with The German Society of Pennsylvania on Aug. 28

Come and join The German Society of Pennsylvania for a special movie night in cooperation with the German service organization Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste (Action Reconciliation Service for Peace)!

“And Along Come Tourists” is a 2007 German feature film that depicts the life of Sven Lehnart, a young man doing alternative military service with ARSP in Oscwiecim (Auschwitz) in Poland. There, he encounters a survivor of the concentration camp, and experiences confrontations with the past while navigating the challenges young adulthood and of the present. The movie is based on the personal story of writer, director, and former ARSP volunteer Robert Thalheim.

Refreshments and snacks will be available. The movie will be shown in German with English subtitles.
